Our philosophy is to restore first, and to replace second, if the first option isn't available.
Your windows have lasted 100 or 150 years, or more, and using reclaimed first growth timber (reclaimed pitch pine) - the same timber used in your windows - they can enjoy a new lease of life for centuries to come.
We source our first growth timber from reclaimed timber across the country. This timber is as good as the day it went in and it's what we use to restore your heritage sash windows.
This saves you not only time in getting your windows repaired, it also save you a boatload of money in the process.
Only when things have gone beyond restoration would we look to replace what's there. When we do, it matches the specifications exactly.

We replace the worn out cords with premium heavy duty waxed cotton lines and service the pulleys. The windows are then counterbalanced with lead or iron weights to ensure smooth, effortless opening and closing every time for decades to come.
